Dos Amigos Tacos
Dos Amigos Tacos, which opened late-December 2021, is kicking of 2022 with a BANG! The new, sizzling addition to the lively Delray Marketplace serves up a fresh, vibrant menu in a fast-casual and affordable setting. The concept is the brainchild of culinary industry veterans Derek Mazer and Michael Jameson who share decades of experience in the food and beverage sector. The 2,303-square-foot restaurant features a spacious 1,000-square-foot patio with ample seating suited for 48 indoor and 48 outdoor. The menu offers an explosion of flavor featuring traditional favorites including a selection of 18 creative handmade tacos, quesadillas and customizable burritos, burrito bowls and salad bowls. Libations are plentiful and include Jarritos, domestic and imported bottled beer and flavorful margaritas such as Lime, Prickly Pear, Strawberry, Mango and Passion Fruit.

Ya Mas!
From Memphis Garrett the hospitality juggernaut that brought us No Man’s Land, Poke House, and Blue Wave Sushi is set to open 'Ya Mas!' in January 2022 at 1103 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Ya Mas! meaning “Cheers” in Greek, will live up to its name and transport guests to a lively taverna found on Mykonos or Santorini where an upbeat vibe, friendly service and superb cuisine prevail. Under the direction of Executive Chef Austin Hull, the rustic-chic indoor/outdoor eatery will embody the flavors of the Mediterranean, showcasing classic dishes and modern interpretations from Greece, Turkey, Israel and more. Diners can expect dishes like Mussels with nduja, white wine and sundried tomato, Farro Salad with muhammara, sundried tomato and herbs; Lamb Meatballs with roast tomato tzatziki, and feta crumble; Harissa Buffalo Wings; and more. Beverage Director Chevy Farrell will create a cocktail menu focusing on simple, straightforward classics, beers, wines, and a selection of specialty spritzes.

Ogawa
Ogawa, which translates to Little River, will be rooted in the exquisite simplicity of authentic and traditional Japanese Omakase. Art dealer & restaurateur Alvaro Perez Miranda is getting ready to open the newest addition to his growing portfolio of Japanese restaurants, Ogawa, in January 2022 in the Little River community. Alvaro collaborated on the design of the space with Design Core Studios. Ogawa promises to be Miami’s newest, highly coveted dining experience. The 12-seat intimate restaurant will offer a unique epicurean experience meticulously crafted by Master Chef Masayuki Komatsu, Ogawa will use the finest seasonal ingredients direct from Japan accompanied by Suntory’s finest whiskeys, and for the first time on the east coast, Suntory’s Premium Malts beer. The specialty Suntory menu will be complemented by a boutique sake and wine list curated by Partner/Sommelier Luis Martinez. Ogawa will also house a private Japanese garden designed by Akiko Iwata, which will feature one-of-a-kind Nihonga art pieces by Ryota Unno and a Kakejiku scroll by calligraphy artist Keika Ogawa.

Korner 67
Starting off the new year on a new corner is Korner 67 (K67). Recently opened in the heart of Miami Lakes. K67 could be described as Aventura’s Reunion Kitchn Bar’s hip new sister, carrying on some traditions and delivering new delights uniquely her own. Husband-and-wife team Cesar Olivo and Adriana Perez Benatar, along with brother-in-law Samuel Perez Benatar, made it possible for locals to find great internationally-inspired fare and masterfully-executed craft cocktails. What diners and imbibers can expect: a multitudinous world-spanning menu of tapas-offerings, exquisite craft cocktails, polished service and a chic décor and ambiance. With the New Year, 2022 will welcome growth, change and the continued evolution of the Broward dining scene, beginning with the expansion of South Florida’s beloved Tacocraft Taqueria & Tequila Bar. Debuting in January 2022, LM Restaurant’s new concept Moréa is a Mediterranean oceanfront dining oasis on Fort Lauderdale beach. The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, simply prepared small plates, mezze and wood-grilled meats and seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and great wines on tap via an eco-friendly system that allows guests to enjoy fine vintages without bottle waste. Matchbox and Big Buns Damn Good Burgers
President and founder Warren Thompson has Thompson Hospitality ringing the new year in with two new concepts - MatchBox and Big Buns Damn Good Burgers. Big Buns Damn Good Burgers, a fast-casual dining spot, will offer 40 indoor and 75 outdoor seats. The menu will serve a variety of flavorful burgers, bowls, sides and over-the-top shakes. MatchBox, an intimate neighborhood dining destination, opening in the same location, will feature 90 indoor and 124 outdoor with a 2,841 square-foot patio. The menu will offer specialty cocktails with a wide range of Italian-American cuisine including brick oven pizzas, salads, bowls, sandwiches, burgers and more. Both fast-casual concepts are slated to open January 2022.
