July 24, 2024On June 18, National Sushi Day, Uchi Miami rolled out its limited-time Sushi Box, bringing the opulent magic of the sushi bar experience straight to your home. Pre-orders began on June 17, offering an at-home sushi experience available daily for pick-up or delivered via UberEats.
Uchi, Wynwood’s destination for a nontraditional take on Japanese cuisine, crafted these creative boxes filled with shareable bites that were perfect for two. The Sushi Box featured three exclusive options containing a delectable representation of the restaurant’s sushi selection. Here’s what each box offered:
The Sushi Box Selections:
- Ichi ($95):
- 12 pieces of nigiri
- 2 makimono rolls
- 1 crudo
- Ni ($195):
- 12 pieces of nigiri
- 2 makimono rolls
- 1 crudo
- 1 chirashi with 5 varieties of fish
- San ($295):
- 12 pieces of nigiri
- 2 makimono rolls
- 1 crudo
- 1 chirashi with 5 varieties of fish
- 2 caviar sets
For those not in Miami, Hai Hospitality, the team behind the Uchi brand, expanded the special Sushi Box offering to all Uchi, Uchiko, and Uchibā restaurants.
A Look Back at the Details:
Ichi Box ($95):
Included twelve pieces of perfectly dressed nigiri, two makimono, and the signature hama chili crudo. Nigiri pieces featured avocado, madai, hamachi, sake toro, akami, and hirame, while the makimono offered cucumber and sake maki.
Ni Box ($195):
Added a chirashi with five varieties of fish to the Ichi box selection, served sashimi-style over a bed of rice with traditional accompaniments. This box featured kanpachi, masu, bluefin otoro tartare, ikura, sushi rice, cucumber, avocado, shiso, and negi.
San Box ($295):
Included all items from the Ichi and Ni boxes, plus two caviar sets. This luxurious addition featured Kaluga hybrid and smoked trout roe, accompanied by potato chips, crème fraîche, and a pair of mother-of-pearl spoons.
Bringing the Sushi Bar Home
Executive Pastry Chef Ariana Quant, known for her playful and imaginative desserts, spearheaded this new “at-home” iteration. “From the moment we started offering to-go in 2020, we imagined ways to elevate the ‘at-home’ experience to reflect our passion for surprising our guests with thoughtful presentation and a truly engaging experience,” said Quant.
Continuing the Uchi Experience
Though the limited-time Sushi Box was a special event, Uchi continues to offer an exceptional dining experience both in-house and for take-out. You can still indulge in their nontraditional Japanese cuisine with a variety of options available for pick-up or delivery. Their regular menu features a blend of classic and innovative dishes, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to try.
