February 23, 2023Third Annual Savor SoFlo Festival Returns to Hollywood Beach
March 31, 2023The iconic South Beach Food and Wine Festival (SOBEWFF). The Festival kicks off on Thursday, February 23 with iconic chef, restaurateur, television personality and cookbook author, Emeril Lagasse, as he hosts the 16th annual Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons with a special performance by Grammy-nominated country music group, Midland.
Notable events include:
- The return of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives LIVE hosted by Guy Fieri featuring more than 25 eateries from the hit show. (Friday, February 24)
- Wine Spectator's Best of the Best at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach which pairs over 60 of the nation's most acclaimed chefs with more than 65 first-rate wineries from around the globe. (Friday, February 24)
- Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village featuring Publix Culinary Demonstrations sponsored by Sub-Zero Group Southeast will highlight fan-favorite Food Network and Cooking Channel personalities and the nations most celebrated chefs. (Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26)
- Tacos & Tequila presented by Tequila Cazadores will be hosted by American actor and star of Machete Danny Trejo and feature more than 25 chefs serving up various iterations of Mexico’s most iconic dish. (Saturday, February 25)
- BACARDĺ Carnival hosted by Andrew Zimmern will close out the 22nd annual Festival with the ultimate Sunday night beach party! (Sunday, February 26)
With more than 110 events, the Festival will welcome over 60,000 food and drink aficionados to savor bites and sips from an incredible roster of renowned chefs, culinary and lifestyle personalities, winemakers, and spirits producers all weekend long. Attendees can expect to indulge in some of the world's best food, wine, and spirits while enjoying the gorgeous Miami Beach weather and breathtaking views.
FoodieCon® presented by Instagram, a first-of-its-kind gathering of the most influential digital content creators and the definitive insider’s mecca for food culture, content creation, and networking will take place on Saturday, February 25 at the Loews Miami Beach.
Festival goers can also catch legendary Mowtowner Thelma Houston performing her chart-topping hits at the first-ever ABSOLUT® Vodka Tea Dance and Drag Show hosted by Kalen Allen and Mistress of Ceremonies Athena Dion. Closeout Sunday Funday with BACARDĺ Carnival hosted by Andrew Zimmern featuring expertly crafted cocktails from the Bacardi portfolio and craveable bites from more than 30 of South Florida’s best chefs.
The David Grutman Experience will once again return to the sands of Miami Beach on Sunday, February 26 with special performances by Grammy-award winner DJ Khaled and Cedric Gervais. For this year's ultimate Sunday Funday, the courtyard of our signature Goya Foods' Grand Tasting Village will transform into a mini music festival with high-energy beats coming to you courtesy of DJ Khaled and Cedric Gervais. These two headliners will create the perfect vibe for this 360-degree experience featuring interactive brand activations, inspired cocktails curated by renowned brands such as Belvedere Vodka, Volcan Tequila, Hennessy, and Moët & Chandon champagne! All paired with tasty bites from over 40 of South Florida's most acclaimed restaurants. As the saying goes, "Go big or go home." Rest assured that with Grutman as our ringmaster, parties don't get much bigger or buzzier than this one.
To date, the Festival has raised more than $34 million in support of its educational mission to cultivate future leaders of the hospitality industry at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida International University (FIU). Between SOBEWFF® and its sister NYCWFF, more than $48 million has been raised to benefit the respective charities of each Festival. Beyond the funds raised, both Festivals draw attention to the diverse dining cultures of their respective cities, provide economic stimulus in their communities, and serve as a platform to drive awareness and engagement for a wide array of philanthropic activities.
