Le Zoo, in the chic Bal Harbour Shops, unveils a range of updates for the season including a refreshed menu, a wood-fired pizza oven and décor additions. , Le Zoo’s new menu is an energetic celebration of timeless French-Mediterranean flavors with highlights including Boullibaisse for Two with sea bass, mussels and clams poached in fennel broth; and Prawns Flambé which are both delicious and dramatic, served with grilled Provencal vegetables.
Beyond seafood and vegetables, Italian influences of the border region emerge in dishes including gnocchi and wood-fired pizzas. Menu favorites such as the Seafood Plateaus, Warm Shrimp Salad and Trout Amandine will remain as staples of Le Zoo.
Taking over the reigns in the kitchen is executive Chef Julian Baker. A graduate of Castle Culinary School in the U.K., Chef Baker has more than two decades of experience ranging from Michelin Starred kitchens in England to New York City’s Upper West side. He has been in South Florida for nearly a decade where he most notably launched Toscana Divino in Mary Brickell Village.
