March 13, 2018La Centrale
After months of anticipation, La Centrale, the 40,000 square foot Italian-inspired, gastronomic emporium is finally open and it's glorious! Spanning three floors of the Brickell City Centre, the massive space houses a ground floor Mercato, pizza and pasta, cafe with fresh pastries and fresh fruits and salads.
The second floor's centerpiece is the Aperitivo Bar, an inviting circular bar that serves as a communal meeting place and separates the three main restaurants; Pesce, Stagionale, and Carne. Also found on this floor are the Gelateria by Venchi and Bollicine Bar.
PESCE, the seafood restaurant is a light, airy space inspired by northwest Italy's famous crescent-shaped region, Liguria. Located on the second floor and overlooking the Miami River, the tiles and stonework have been imported from Italy and transport you to the colorful fishing villages of the Cinque Terre, or Portofino.
Carne restaurant is a true Italian Macelleria, with the best cuts of meats cooked in a traditional wood-fired grill. The traditional hand-made Tuscan terracotta tile on the ceiling and floor was sourced directly from the Tuscan village of Greve in Chianti, famous for its centuries-old terracotta production. Treat yourself to a massive porterhouse or one of the decadent dry-aged steaks. Both Carne & Pesce offer guests the opportunity to buy the fresh seafood and steaks from the restaurants market to take home to their own kitchens.
The wine cellar Enoteca, located on the third floor, features a curated collection of Italian wines to take home or to sip and enjoy in the tasting room. Enoteca will also host wine tastings every Wednesday and private wine pairing dinners in the near future.
Stagionale, inspired by the Veneto region, features a seasonal menu focused on serving fresh produce, risottos and fresh mozzarella.
Return to the first floor and indulge in the quintessential Italian cannoli and a wide array of Italian desserts and freshly baked pastries.
