June 1, 2015Beef rules the menu at BLT Prime, located inside the luxurious Trump National Doral. The Burger Board menu is offered at the bar at all times and during lunch hours (11AM - 3PM) in their elegant dining room. BLT Prime’s burger selections include seven sumptuous creations, each hand crafted with sustainable, quality ingredients. The restaurant offers views of the newly renovated ($250 million+) Trump National Doral Miami golf resort so it is fitting that the seven burgers take their names from the game of Golf. They are Albatross ($26), Blind Shot ($16), Bogey ($17), Eagle ($22), The Monster ($18), Mulligan ($21) and Triple Bogey ($22).
BLT Prime’s Executive Sous Chef, Richard Fuentes, acquired his farm-to-table sensibility during his 6-month culinary trip to Napa Valley, California. His goal is to bring that same philosophy he found in Napa to BLT Prime. The patties used to make their burgers are made from either a short-rib burger blend, rich with juicy flavor and easy to maintain composition or 1855 brand 100% Black Angus Beef from Halpern’s Farm.
The Eagle ($24)
This massive surf-n-turf style burger is topped with poached lobster and generously drizzled with truffle buttermilk dressing. The unmistakable aroma of truffle fills the room as the Eagle makes its way to your table. The buttery flavors of the poached lobster provide the perfect compliment to the rich white cheddar-topped short rib blend patty set on a toasted sesame seeded Brioche bun. This burger is best enjoyed sitting al fresco at BLT Prime’s patio and soaking in the panoramic views of the Trump National Doral’s lush golf courses.

The Triple Bogey ($22)
This triple threat is made with BLT Prime’s signature short rib blend, topped with BBQ pulled pork, smoked bacon and apple cole slaw on a Brioche bun. The BBQ pulled pork is lightly coated in BLT Prime’s homemade BBQ sauce with its sweet and tangy flavors. Chef Fuentes recommends pairing this burger with the MIA IPA by Doral’s very own M.I.A Brewing. Its hoppy notes and subtle bitterness compliments the slight spiciness of the BBQ pulled pork.

The Monster ($18)
The Monster is the burger most likely to resemble your classic All-American burger. Black Angus beef is grilled to a perfect medium rare, lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and brushed with butter just before being set atop a puffy Brioche bun. Aged cheddar, bibb lettuce, roasted tomatoes and crispy shallots finish off this classic burger. BLT Prime’s not-so-secret burger sauce is a creamy Russian style dressing. It is chunky with cornichon and capers and makes for a festival of flavors when you bite into this monstrous burger.
