Tantalize Opens on Lincoln Road
June 23, 2015Miami Beach: TALDE Opens Tonight
November 6, 2015Co-owners Brian Nasajon and Ben Potts are no strangers to the industry, having worked at some of New York and Miami’s most unique restaurants and bars. Beaker & Gray, named after two essential tools of the trade - the Beaker and the Gray Kunz spoon - will feature a motley of world cuisine, filled with flavor and culture while absent of “pretension or stuffiness.” The menu, carefully curated by Nasajon, seeks to emulate the unification of global cultures which the Wynwood area has achieved through art. Guests can expect a variety of options, ranging from a Caribbean-meets-Asian interpretation of a Grilled Oxtail with ponzu, peach, and Serrano pepper to Shrimp and Churizo Churros.
Wash down your meal with one of Potts’ speciality cocktails, which are broken up into three categories: shaken, stirred, and strange. For shaken drinks, think light and refreshing, such as their “Greenhouse” made with gin, herbal liqueur, basil, and celery soda. For a more boozy alternative, order a stirred drink, like their “Another 50/50,” made of barrel-aged genever, chamomile-infused blanc vermouth, and lemon bitters. For the daring, look to the Strange category for a selection of eclectic cocktails we assure you’ll find nowhere else.
Sip on your clever cocktail at Beaker & Gray’s 13-seat marble bar, or in their 75 person main dining area, where old-age industrial ambiance meets natural and warm elements. For those who want an experience as unique as their food, guests can sit at the kitchen counter, watching their dinner come to life.
Beaker & Gray is expected to open September 2015.
