29th Annual Las Olas Wine & Food Festival
February 27, 2025Miami’s iconic taqueria, COYO Taco, is marking a decade of bold flavors, late-night revelry, and international success with a can’t-miss celebration. On Friday, March 28, 2025, the Wynwood flagship will host an epic parking lot party featuring Grammy-nominated DJ Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, special guest DJs, and $10 margaritas—an event that perfectly encapsulates the brand’s vibrant spirit.
From Miami to the World
Founded in 2014 by Alan Drummond, Sven Vogtland, and Chef Scott Linquist, COYO Taco quickly established itself as a must-visit culinary destination. With a commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients and an atmosphere that blends Mexico’s rich street food culture with Miami’s electric energy, the brand has grown from a neighborhood favorite to a global phenomenon. Over the past decade, COYO Taco has expanded beyond South Florida, bringing its signature tacos and underground speakeasy vibes to cities like Lisbon, Santo Domingo, and Medellín. By fall 2025, it will add a prime waterfront location at Bayside Marketplace to its ever-growing roster.
A Legacy of Flavor and Culture
From the beginning, COYO Taco has been more than just a place to grab tacos—it has been a cultural hub. Its Wynwood location played a key role in the transformation of the neighborhood, offering not only incredible Mexican fare but also an exclusive speakeasy that has hosted some of Miami’s most legendary parties. Regular events like Murk Monday with DJ Oscar G. and Rum and Bass by Walshy Fire have cemented COYO’s reputation as a hotspot where music, nightlife, and cuisine collide. The intimate, mural-lined space has attracted major artists, with surprise sets from Diplo, Travis Scott, and even Sade.
Tacos, Tequila, and a Decade of Memories
COYO Taco’s menu continues to captivate food lovers with its balance of traditional Mexican flavors and innovative creations. Standouts include the decadent Duck Carnitas tacos, rich and cheesy quesadillas, and the freshest guacamole in town. The brand’s dedication to fresh, locally sourced ingredients has earned it a loyal following, including high-profile fans like Dwyane Wade, Serena Williams, and David Beckham.
The Anniversary Bash
The March 28th celebration will be a reflection of everything that has made COYO Taco a standout over the years: high-energy music, delicious food, and handcrafted cocktails. With resident DJs spinning in the speakeasy and Walshy Fire igniting the main stage in the parking lot, attendees can expect an unforgettable night. Limited food options will be available alongside multiple bars featuring specialty cocktails, beer, and the event’s signature $10 margaritas.
