Pride at Noche de Arte - Jose Luis Garcia Art Residency at InterContinental Miami
Taking place on Monday, June 5, 2023 and every Monday thereafter from 5PM to 7PM, is Noche de Arte, a weekly Art Residency featuring local artists painting live, with an emphasis on Pride during the month of June. With the support of local Miami arts organization Font Squared, the Intercontinental Miami is featuring live artist interaction with artist Jose Luis Garcia. A native Floridian, Jose is known for crafting compelling visual art using photography as his medium, with works often inspired by his family. In addition to being an artist, Jose Garcia has taught various educational residencies as a Teaching Artist with Arts for Learning Miami, led workshops with Miami Dade Public Libraries' The Vasari Project, is an Adjunct Professor at Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus, Broward College North Campus, and teaches Photography at New World School of the Arts in the High School Division.
On Monday, June 5, kickoff Pride Month with a special Noche de Arte celebration as InterContinental Miami, in conjunction with Arts and Business Council of Miami and the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, hosts a memorable evening featuring live artist interaction and more surprises. The fun continues with Love is Love cocktails. Jose will be in residence every Monday throughout the month of June, with works available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public.
