July 19, 2018Miami Spice: Save Room for Dessert
July 26, 20187 Restaurants offering vegan options for Miami Spice.
Plant Miami
Inspired by the dynamism of “living foods,” Plant will be offering creative lunch and dinner options during Miami Spice. One standout dish is Plant’s vegan version of a classic Brazilian stew. Moqueca is traditionally made with fish and stewed with garlic and onions in a tomato base. At Plant, fish is replaced with jackfruit, the largest tree fruit in the world! The jackfruit is combined with coconut milk, quinoa and sea veggies to produce this savory dish.
Planta
With innovative Chef David Lee in charge of the menu, Planta’s Miami Spice menu is sure to be a treat for both vegans and non-vegans alike. The restaurant will be offering brunch and dinner menus for the Miami Spice event. Make sure to save room for one of their specialty drinks or cocktails! Chef de Cuisine at Planta, Ben Goldman, recommends the Frenchie Pizza, "a staple at Planta Miami ... It’s a fan favorite because of its velvety mushroom bolognese, sweet butternut squash, and fresh arugula from our garden. All tossed in our house vinaigrette."
Soul Tavern
Who said that vegan food couldn’t have soul? Go feed your soul at Soul Tavern whose mission is to use the five elements to nourish and harmonize the body, mind, and soul. For lunch, check out the Black Bean and Sweet Plantain Sliders with mango-jalapeño slaw and salsa verde. Be sure to check out their Miami Spice brunch and dinner menus as well!

At Nautilus Cabana Club, the spotlight is on the Beyond Vegan Burger- a plant-based protein patty. Other vegan options for the starter and ending courses are Trio of Dips with hummus, naan bread, and veggies and the creamy Coconut Sorbet.
La Centrale- Stagionale (on 2nd level)
The concept at La Centrale takes into account the personal preferences of everyone’s lifestyle. If you happen to be looking for a vegan fare, check out their STAGIONALE restaurant on the second level. Stagionale is La Centrale’s seasonal restaurant that uses a lot of plant-based ingredients. Their dinner menu will be offering vegan options for all three courses. Look out for their Riso Venere, which comes with coconut milk curry and sauteed baby vegetables. Note: The menus include both vegan and vegetarian options so be sure to ask your server about the dish you are trying.
