March 24, 2019The recently renovated Gates Hotel South Beach introduces a new Mexican-inspired concept, Agaveros Cantina.
Named for the traditional agave farmer, Agaveros combines the classic flavors of a Mexican taqueria with those unique to Miami. Leading culinary operations is Executive Chef, Nicolas Bour.
Chef Bour plans to feature a dish that was worthy of a recent challenge on Food Network’s ‘Beat Bobby Flay’ Season 13. Look for Bour's winning version of the elote (Mexican street corn) fritter on the Agaveros Cantina menu.
The menu will offer Mexican classics such as tacos, hand crushed molcajete of guacamole ($10), and of course an extensive collection of over 100 tequilas and mezcals.
The Agaveros tacos al carbon ($13) with grilled skirt steak, cabbage slaw and chimichurri, does not disappoint.
Adding to our list of favorite things to order were crispy salt cod fritters ($12) and their ice cold margaritas.
