November 1, 2024As the culinary calendar turns toward the close of the year, Palm Beach lights up with the highly anticipated 17th Annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival (PBFWF) in partnership with Wine Spectator. Set against the picturesque backdrop of South Florida’s balmy winter, this four-day extravaganza runs from December 12–15, 2024, bringing 25 carefully curated food and beverage events designed to dazzle the senses and satisfy the soul.
With fresh faces, expanded wine offerings, and a record-breaking selection of over 100+ wineries at the Grand Tasting, this year’s festival promises a level of epicurean excellence rarely matched. From intimate dinners crafted by top-tier chefs to wine tastings that whisk attendees across global vineyards, PBFWF celebrates culinary craft and innovation at every level. Plus, with part of the proceeds dedicated to the Els for Autism Foundation, this festival not only celebrates food but also uplifts the community.
Thursday, December 12 – A Grand Opening Feast
The festival opens with multi-course dinners hosted by some of the region’s most acclaimed venues. Highlights include The First Bite at Buccan, a lavish affair where chefs Andrew Carmellini, Paul Kahan, and Neil Fraser debut alongside Clay Conley. This intimate dinner will feature the finest Terlato Wines, pairing effortlessly with each culinary course ($325).
Another standout, the Beef N Bourbon Experience ($275), returns to Okeechobee Prime with celebrated chef Robert Irvine at the helm, with $100 from each ticket benefiting the Robert Irvine Foundation. Thursday events show that they are already sold out, but make sure to join the waitlist!
Friday, December 13 – Food & Wine: A Day to Imbibe and Indulge
Friday brings a vibrant mix of daytime lunches and evening celebrations. Begin with a classic Sustain Featuring Bouchaine Vineyards at PB CATCH Seafood and Raw Bar, featuring renowned chefs Paula Da Silva and Alex Seidel. For $225 per person, guests can enjoy dishes paired with Bouchaine Wines.
Later, Sunset & Swirls at Eau Palm Beach offers an elegant tour of Spain’s premier wine regions ($150).
The Dinner at Polpo hosted by Neall Bailey and joined by chef Sarah Grueneberg, Giorgio Rapicavoli and Jordan Rubin will incorporate not only their Italian roots, but their love of seafood, perfectly paired with Zenato wines ($275).
Saturday, December 14 – A Day of Tastings and Talent
Day three invites guests to explore the nuances of fine wine at Master Taste with Master Sommelier Virginia Philip ($200).
The evening promises casual yet elevated fare at Chillin’ N’ Grillin’ ($225), an outdoor tasting experience by the sea, featuring bites from culinary icons like Michelle Bernstein and Alex Seidel. Meanwhile, A Night at The Ben ($225) debuts as a new walk-around tasting at The Ben, Autograph Collection, showcasing the talents of chefs David Burke, Ashley Christensen, and Jose Garces.
Sunday, December 15 – The Grand Finale
The festivities culminate in the 17th Annual Grand Tasting at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, a feast of over 60 dishes from South Florida’s top chefs alongside 100+ premier wines rated 90+ by Wine Spectator ($149 Early Bird / $229 after September 30). As the festival’s centerpiece, it promises an afternoon of extraordinary flavors and a thrilling chef throwdown judged by celebrity chefs Maneet Chauhan and Robert Irvine.
