Homemade Cranberry Sauce Recipe

Homemade cranberry sauce is super simple and quick to prepare. Skip that gelatinous can-shaped substance and check out this recipe:

1 Ingredients

  • 12  ounce bag of fresh cranberries (approx. 3 1/4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (or sugar)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1 cup water


2 Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium pot.
  • Cover and Cook over a medium heat for 15 minutes.
  • Your cranberries should be bursting and the liquid should be reduced.
  • Turn the heat to a simmer and continue to let the sauce thicken about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to stir and check the liquid has not completely evaporated or they will burn.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool at least 15 minutes.
