South Florida native, Executive Michael Fiorello, gives us a taste of the latest "craft" concept by Tom Colicchio.
Saturday Brunch at Beachcraft ·
Farm-to-Table, Beachcraft, is a classic seaside grill. The exhibition kitchen provides a view of the day’s catch and farmstand-fresh vegetables, flame-grilling them to enhance their pure flavor on a Grillworks Infierno. Tom Colicchio leads the team, dedicated to bringing out the beauty in natural ingredients.
The Farm-to-table concept is elevated at Tom Colicchio’s latest “craft” addition, Beachcraft, located inside the new 1 Hotel & Residences. Open for just a few weeks, Beachcraft offers breakfast and weekend brunch service with lunch and dinner to follow towards the end of June. Expect a seasonally fresh menu led by Executive Chef Michael Fiorello with many ingredients sourced locally, including some grown right on the hotel property.
Illuminated by a wall of windows, the expansive space is furnished in neutral earthy tones, wood tables and leather seating - a perfect backdrop to vibrant dishes served on both Saturdays and Sundays. Select from a variety of shareable options including Fava Bean flatbread ($14) - ricotta, covered with bright, garden fresh pea tendrils and finished with a yolky egg. Other options include Zak the Baker’s Rye Toast ($15) with ricotta, sweet peas, guanciale and sherry.

A large center bar towers through to the second floor private dining area offering a bevy of creatively crafted cocktails ranging from $12 to $15 by the glass or in large pitchers ($45).
Lillet Me Down - Vodka, Lillet Blanc, Cherimoya Orange Peel, Cucumber, Lime
Opt for sweeter takes on brunch classics such as Griddled Blueberry Cornbread ($19) topped with peaches and served with bourbon maple syrup. Much of the produce are locally grown, but as the seasons change Fiorello will continue to source sustainable ingredients from other regions including Georgia peaches.

Don’t leave without ordering the Thousand-Layer Donut ($10), a hybrid pastry with a sugary, crisp exterior coated in an addictive key lime curd and garnished with rose petals. It’s so good, we’ll return just for this dessert (and a pitcher).
