10 Brunches to Cure Your NYE Hangover

By: Jennifer Agress

Sundays are for brunching, and New Year’s Day is National Hangover Day. On January 1st, 2017, combine the two and cure your NYE hangover with a delicious Sunday brunch! These 10 New Year’s Day brunches in Miami should do the trick:

Bakehouse Brasserie: Menin Hospitality’s newest concept, the Parisian-style Bakehouse Brasserie, serves brunch daily -- and New Year’s Day 2017 is no exception. This year, head to South of Fifth for live music, bottomless mimosas and à la carte menu, the latter of which has popular plates like Croissant French Toast, and our favorite Breakfast Carbonara. Bottomless mimosas are priced at $25 and select bottle of champagne are 50% off.

Edge Steak & Bar: Edge Steak & Bar, at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, is kicking-off 2017 with their nationally recognized lavish brunch. And you will most likely find endless amounts of stone crab claws available on their raw bar station! The prosecco, cocktails and beer will also be flowing, so grab your friends and family and toast to the new year in style. Brunch is priced at $120 per adult and $35 per child age 5 - 12. Unlimited Moët is also available for an additional $20.

Driftwood Room at Nautilus, a SIXTY Hotel: Driftwood Room has become known for its Sunday brunches, and on January 1st, you can try it for yourself. Head to its lavish brunch buffet for baked baguettes, sourdoughs, zucchini-infused bread, homemade hummus, countless cheeses, charcuterie, egg dishes, a salad bar and more, and be sure to hit the dessert table. Then, because you’ll definitely love it, keep hitting it again and again. This brunch is priced at $49 per person, and seafood towers and mimosas are priced separately.

Jaya at The Setai: Along with its stunning courtyard, Asian-style elegance, and reputation as a retreat for Miami’s finest, The Setai, Miami Beach has also become known for its Jazz Sunday brunch. On January 1st, start 2017 off right with this outdoor brunch, taking place in that beautiful courtyard, with live jazz, a huge buffet, and bottomless Louis Roederer Champagne and Bloody Marys. Brunch runs from 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., and is priced at $125 per person.

Olla: Scott Linquist’s new upscale restaurant concept, Olla, recently launched a delicious Sunday brunch -- and on the first day of the New Year, it’s yours to enjoy! To kick-off 2017 with a Mexican twist, head to Olla for its regular á la carte menu, along with special brunch items like Huevos Rancheros, Chilaquile, and Ahumado Tarro and Menudo stew served “a la olla,” each with a poached egg. To wash it all down, bottomless margaritas, mimosas, Micheladas, and “Bloody Maria’s” are available for a separate price.

Quinto La Huella: At EAST, Miami, the haute new hotel in Brickell City Centre, Sunday brunch at Quinto La Huella is as delicious as the venue is beautiful. The brunch buffet is piled high with fruit, pastries, and open-flame dishes like steak, chicken, fish, vegetables and pizzas. There is a sushi and a dessert bar, the latter of which has sweets like Panna Cotta with Mango Sauce and Carrot Cake.
